“it is not the answer that enlightens, but the question.”

 FAQ’s:

WHY SHOULD I DO THERAPY?

Therapy, in its essence, is getting help with what you want help with. Family and friends are great to talk to, but have you ever noticed that you find yourself saying the same thing to different people with no resolution? Why is that? Well, oftentimes, we find ourselves stuck in a pattern that typically stems from earlier life concerns or relationships. Therapists have tools to uproot these patterns that are specific to your needs. Family and friends do not offer these same specializations because they aren’t trained to.

HOW DOES THERAPY WORK?

First, you will be connected with a therapist that fits your needs. Because you are unique, and your needs may be different from others, the therapist will work with you around what you want to see changed in your life. Therapy is tailored to meet you where you are, and work at your pace to uproot, change, or support in what you want help with.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO WORK?

At Metanoia, we are trained to know how to help you specifically work through your needs. That being said, there is no one-size-fits-all solution to you. Think about a time you wanted to change something in your past. How long did it take you? Sometimes it may have taken you a week, two weeks, or three months. You didn’t get this way overnight, and we know it won’t be overnight that everything will disappear. Although, we will give you the tools to notice changes as you work through what you want to change.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY INSURANCE WILL BE ACCEPTED AT YOUR LOCATION?

Currently, we take OPTUM/UBH, CAPITAL BLUE CROSS, HIGHMARK, AETNA. Please check your Health Insurance plan and check if therapy is covered by inquiring the below questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

  • Are mental health benefits managed by a separate company?

  • Are my mental health benefits accepted by: Metanoia Counseling & Consultation LLC

  • What is my deductible, has it been met, and when does it renew?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is my co-pay and/or co-insurance amount due per therapy session?

  • Is pre-approval required?

“you are not the narrative you or others have made you believe. You are worth healing your past and thriving today.”
